April: Child Abuse Prevention Month

April 1, 2016

In 2016 the State of Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) reported that 954 cases of child abuse were reffered to them from Oxford County alone. The state of Maine as a whole produced over 18,500 referrals including allegations of sexual abuse, physical abuse and the general neglect of children.

Not every allegation is definite, but should be investigated. If you see something, say something.
