Position: Jail Administrator / Detention Manager

The position of Jail Administrator at the Oxford County Jail will be an open position in November 2010.

This is a managerial exempt status position that will require a written test, participation in an executive oral board and successful completion of a polygraph examination. Candidates should have a two year undergraduate degree in criminal justice, public administration/ management or related academic degree and related job training for an administrative position in a corrections setting. Comparable work experience can be substituted for an academic degree.  Candidates must be a graduate of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy Corrections Training Course with completion of pre-assignment training level A and posting assignment training level B.
